Avatar's Abode was founded in 1958 for Meher Baba's second visit to Australia. For this visit two buildings were hastily erected by a small group of dedicated individuals from Sydney and Melbourne. Meher Baba's visit was for 4 days, but his presence has never left. (see Meher Baba and Australia, second visit)

Visitors to Avatar's Abode are always welcome, but if it's your first time you might want to contact myself or Avatar's Abode to arrange for someone to show you around. The Abode has two main events every year; the Anniversary in June and the Spring Sahavas in September. At the present time there is a reading group that meets on Monday mornings, an evening Pizza and video program happens on the first Saturday of every month, and there are two socials events every week; the Thursday morning group and the Sunday morning Arti in Baba's House followed by the coffee social.
